I don't get this :? The 00Z Euro shows two lows just dancing around way offshore in the pacific, neither of them approaching land. The 00Z GFS shows a low doing the same thing. Seems like a rather strange solution. Maybe I'm just uninformed but is this common?

Winds definitely picked up for the dog walk tonight, I think brisk is the correct word as still not too cold. Like every year I have followed these forums long term models give & then take away, it is the nature of the beast. I'm sure like every other year winter cancelled / no snow for mountains postings will be coming fast and furious. Hound has it correct anything over 3 days in the PNW seems to be guessing. Hopefully we get enough region wide winter events to keep everybody happy.
