Not gone, just been too miserable to post.
My mom and I had to have her 18 year old cat put to sleep on Monday during the worst of the heat. Then I heard about all the deaths from the heat wave. I was starting to feel better yesterday until I heard about the devastation in Lytton.
I could have dealt with the heat on its own, but I'm just done.
Absolutely horrible horrible situation why hasn't a provincial emergency been called got word my sister and her family had to evacuate Deka lake, fire is SW of them.
Starting to hit close to home, 3 years ago it was family in Willy's puddle had to evacuate.

Cats are special creatures, my condolences to you and your mom.
Any idea how long EC is going to have the heat warning up? It's darn cold here. Maybe through September...or November when they switch it for a snowfall warning?
10+mm of rain in Kamloops last night. Hopefully it hit the Sparks lake fire. It certainly helped calm the fires that started on the outskirts of the city last evening
