Fully expect Puget Sound and the PDX to see really fun active weather before the storms make its way north and fizzle out near the border leading to 1 lightning strike near Alouette Lake...

Re: August 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Last year we hit 30 well into October. Maybe even November I can't remember exactly. A week of active weather in September is awesome but it doesn't mean summer's over.

Always there, ready to repel any pesky thunderstorms.

Really? Just checked and the high all month was 25.2°C IMBY.
Yes, it was a very torchy month but October torching is a very different beast from July or August torching.

Whoops...perhaps I'm thinking of another recent year. And yes October is probably my favourite torching month.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 11:22 am Really? Just checked and the high all month was 25.2°C IMBY.

Re: August 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Interesting comparing the forecasts for Victoria, Vancouver, Abottsford and Hope. Vancouver & Victoria actually have the terminology of "Periods of rain with a few thunderstorms beginning before morning" The Valley only says "Periods of rain with risk of thunderstorms" Hmm..
Yet the maps Jr. posted show it more over the Valley.
If the force-field shows up again, I think we have a solid 3evidence for weather modification!
