Leighbugs wrote: Sat Aug 19, 2023 6:56 pm Not sure what you think has been allowed for years. All I know is that for years there's not been much drama on this group and the goal is to keep it that way. Whenever someone cannot refrain from bringing drama or talking about the drama endlessly, those posts are going to be deleted. There's nothing productive or valuable about such posts. As such, they are deleted. Opinions are NOT deleted when they pertain to weather, even if said opinion is not popular. We are allowed our opinions and to have rational discussion about the weather. But when things get personal- it's gone too far. Rude posts targeting the opinion of others ARE deleted. Belittling posts like eye-rolling somebody...deleted. Emotional and angry posts directed to members- deleted. Accusatory posts- deleted. Bringing up the drama repeatedly- deleted.

Having reasonable discussion calmly with someone whose opinion you don't agree with but still pertains to weather- NOT deleted.

This is why taking a break is recommended. Nothing is accomplished by angry posting. It just gets more stuff deleted and serves zero purpose.
Well, isn't it cute you come back to flex your joints lmao

Phantom snow for the lowlands.Terrain bleed too.

Winds will dry the moisture out before the cold air arrives.

Nope, not gonna delete. You seem to really want everyone on the forum to listen to you and you don't know when to quit. Therefore I will leave this so they can read your post and judge for themselves accordingly as to how they feel about the situation.

Anything else you post on the matter WILL be deleted. Fair warning. If you continue, I'll have to ban you for a period of time...something which I have never done, do not wish to do and have refrained from doing several times over today.

There is no silver bullet solution.
I had thought of the fuel free buffer idea surrounding towns in the interior. I had not considered the erosion and mud slide issue before, though. Perhaps a forest that consists of more deciduous trees in the perimeter of these towns instead. I have read that fires move much slower through deciduous trees than through dried out evergreens. And they have experimented with planting blocks of deciduous trees in fire prone areas in an attempt to slow down wild fire movement.

Smoke is fully entrenched at ground level for now. Looks foggy and the smell is very noticeable.

But my last 15 were deleted? Just wondering. Seems not fair

Don't worry. You don't need to ban me. I understand 👍

Weather101 is now banned for a day.

For the record, his deleted posts are either rude to members or admin, calling people names that I won't re-type here, refusing to stop stirring up drama after being requested to several times and just generally being unable to LET. IT. GO.

Now, I really AM Elsa in my profile pic.
