I'd be very surprised if we saw a repeat of June 2021 but some of the Euro ensemble members are showing temperatures in the upper 30's to low 40's. At the very least, I think we are looking at a significant heatwave. Still lots of time for the models to back off though. Time will tell.

Not surprised. The heat down south this summer has been brutal.. Only makes sense to see a heat dome finally.

Hopefully this won't verify but looks like a big heatwave incoming!

A melange of weather along the hwy 16 corridor between McBride and Smithers yesterday. Cold with steady light/moderate rain between McBride and Prince George, before giving way to a mix of sun and cloud in Vanderhoof. Clouds with heavy showers around Burns Lake, mix of sun and cloud in Houston and cloudy with clear breaks in Smithers. Temps hovered around 13-16c in the rain and about 21-24c in the sun.
