Warm stretch starts late next week. However the weeklies continue the cool theme after that.

I'm starting to wonder if this might be the Summer with an exception where we start having variability. I bet we have many Pineapple Expresses for this Fall. Maybe several thunderstorms this summer which would keep the bone dry parched earth away.

At the very least that likely means we very well could see this chilly/wet pattern continue to pop up quite frequently into early summer.

Re: April 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Last spring was horrible. If I recall it was one of the worst in recent memory- by a large margin. I remember thinking, "well...at least with a spring THIS bad, we have it out of the way so surely next spring won't be terrible."
WRONG.
Oh yeah and since we didn't have spring last year and went directly to summer, summer lasted into October, remember? So then fall was still summer. And then fall was about 6 weeks long and lasted until around Christmas and now it's been winter ever since. This is garbage.

Re: April 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Komo
This April is one of the top ten coldest on record. No surprise there! When ranking in terms of average high temperature, this April is the 2nd coldest since recordkeeping began.
Hang in there. Forecast models are hinting at 70-degree weather for the final weekend in April. But I'm cautiously optimistic. Models have routinely shown warming in the extended only to revert to a cool solution.
For now, uncharacteristically cool spring weather persists. After a dry yet frosty morning, clouds thicken as showers head to the coastal beaches by lunchtime. Expect this rain to migrate inland for a soggy afternoon/evening rush hour home along the I-5 corridor as temperatures hold steady in the 40s. Are we acclimated to this damp chill yet?
While a few drops linger Friday morning, much of tomorrow will be rain-free. But the sky will stay shrouded in clouds as a rare warm front shows up offshore. Modest warming to the upper 50s occurs on Saturday as conditions turn increasingly wet & windy with a trailing cold front Sunday.
Sun and showers remain Monday and Tuesday, followed by a dry stretch and potentially the warmest weather of the year yet!
