No way , lol , I also have a Ryan Walters story. I believe he has 5 or 6 kids , 3 sons, and one of them Ryan Jr, was in the same elementary school class as my daughter , small private Christian school in South Surrey in mid 90's. In the early days the school was in the bottom floor of a church. After school,
parents would wait at the top of the stairs to pick up their kids, one day one of the students looked at me and said, " hey, there's that NHL hockey player!". I smiled and said, " Sorry, not me, you've got me mistaken for that guy over there" pointing to Ryan Walter. In hindsight I should've ran with it and asked if he wanted my autograph ,lol. Went on a few field trips together, mainly skating events. At some point they moved to Langley where he had a new log house built for themselves.
Interesting reads here's a Ryan Walter story via a friend of mine he also had a Ryan Walter encounter afew times.
Back in the mid 90's there abouts Ryan Walter attended some of the Christian men's breakfasts in Coquitlam at my friend's church he always told me how gracious and friendly Ryan was.

If the Canucks lose tonight they will be only 9 points ahead of the lowly Blackhawks with them having 2 games in hand.
Honestly I never thought this possible. We need to simply continue this putrid stretch as long as possible, until Horvat and Schenn get traded and then we might really pull off the stealth tank of the century. The Bedard dream is alive!

Chicago will be in full tank mode with all the bells and whistles if they trade Kane and Toews.

Yeah wow hard to believe skipper those 2 were Chicago's building blocks to their cup and cup runs back in the mid to late 2000's

How time flies , Kane and Toews big contracts expiring this year. Chicago will probably win another Cup before the perpetual Canucklehead losers.

Canucks are perpetually cursed. First season in the league -- doing great until Christmas then bam... Captain (Kurtenbach) injured and don't do well for years.
Even if we had drafted the great one, he'd have turned out into the "dud one".

Most likely, but Gretzky wasn't the only good/great player on that 80's oilers team, while the Canucks had a bunch of nobody's, have no idea how they got to the 82 finals other than King Richard's heroics in goal. Having said that Gretzky was never drafted I don't think, not sure if the WHA had a draft, maybe just signed players.

Yeah that sums it up nicely Tpuck, l remember the first year at Christmas the Knucks were near or in a playoff spot.
Guess that's why the after Christmas curse remains. There good only until Christmas wow! unreal hard to believe after all these years the curse continues.

This situation sucks. I'm so glad the fans let Bruce know we appreciate him and it's not his fault. I just feel bad for the players, well as much as you can feel for rich young professional athletes.
Nothing short of a lottery win will turn this ship around. It's our only hope.
