I grew up in PG. I loved the winters. Frigid and snowy. I have lots of fun memories going hiking in the snow looking for Christmas trees with my family and friends. I was really young at the time but I even remember waking up to a morning low of -50C once. Certainly doesn't get that cold there anymore though it still gets way colder then here.
l grew up in balmy Vancouver Jr. I remember wearing gumboots my Mom bought from Army & Navy and buying an artificial Christmas tree. I remember waking up to 10c. It never get's cold here unless you open your fridge for a minute.

You'll always have the 1971 blizzard for comfort. 100cm in five days.
This is what Chilliwack looked like after the ice storm:
This pic. should go in the historical section T3.

Your parents would prolly tell u it was even colder in the 70s and 80s Jr.
I'll tell him it was colder in the 70's I still recall deep snow, icicles on the eaves, my aunts building a snow horse that lasted for weeks and their boyfriends "skiing" behind pick ups down Marguerite Street in Vancouver
my grandmother was born in 1919 and would tell me of big snows in the 20's. she lived over by Fraser and 25th (King Edward) and they would sled down middle of the street on cardboard
